It’s hard to believe that we only have three more days of Kindergarten...it is definitely a bittersweet time for us all. It’s been a pleasure to watch your child grow academically, physically and spiritually this year. We will be praying for them over the summer months and as they transition to first grade! We look forward to watching them grow at NCCS!
We know you have lots of fun SUMMER activities planned but please continue to practice reading, writing and math facts. There are lots of cool ideas on Pinterest that include fun supplies like chalk, bubbles, water shooters, balls and jump ropes, etc. that will keep your child entertained. Your child’s Raz-kids account will stay active through the summer months so they can continue to practice their reading comprehension and fluency skills. They have come so far this year, we would like to see them continue their growth as they head into first grade!
End of the Year Party- May 25th
We will be having our end of the year class party during the day and then graduation in the evening! The school will be providing pizza and Kona Ice for all LS students.
***May 25th Kindergarteners only will be dismissed at 1 pm. This will allow them to rest and get ready for their special graduation ceremony!!
Graduation: May 25 - 7:00 pm in the NCCS gym
Please drop your child off in the preschool hallway between 6:30-6:45 with their gown on a hanger, labeled with their name. We will have their caps and will assist them in getting dressed for the ceremony after the singing portion of the program. Graduation caps and gowns have been purchased by NCCS and are yours to keep.
Attire: Sunday best; No jeans, shorts or tennis shoes please.
Hair: We encourage you to NOT put bows, large braids, or fancy ribbons in your daughter’s hair since the graduation caps will not fit over it.
