Our 100th Day of School will be Wednesday, February 3, 2020. We will celebrate with lots of fun, hands-on activities and crafts. If you are interested in donating supplies for our celebration, watch for an email coming out early this week.
101st Day of School!
Thursday, February 4th, we will celebrate the 101st Day of School by dressing up like dalmatian puppies from 101 Dalmatians! Be creative, and have fun putting a puppy costume together!
Raz-Kids is coming soon to Kindergarten!
“Raz-Kids is an award-winning teaching product that provides comprehensive leveled reading resources for students. With hundreds of eBooks offered at 29 different levels of reading difficulty, it's easy to put the right content in every student's hands.
Kids access their leveled text through an interactive learning portal designed to keep them motivated and engaged. Every eBook is available in online and mobile formats, and allows students to listen to, read at their own pace, and record themselves reading. Students then take a corresponding eQuiz complete with an extended answer response to test comprehension and determine future instruction needs. Once a child has read ten or more of the leveled eBooks and passed each of the corresponding eQuizzes, they advance on to the next reading level where they have access to lengthier and more difficult text.”
Raz-Kids will be used in the classroom and at home to increase reading fluency. Teachers are now in the process of setting up Kindergarten students for this program. Be on the lookout for information in your child’s Daily Folder. We know your child will love this program!

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING IN...
Bible - Samuel anoints David.
Phonics - Identifying the sounds of the consonant digraphs ch, wh, th, ph and sh in given words.
Reading - Winter themed books integrated with Science and writing objectives.
Math - Greater than, less than and equal number recognition. Counting to 100 by 1’s, 5’s and 10’s. Counting by 2’s to 30.
Social Studies/Science- Exploring the Winter season.
