Wednesday, March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day! All Lower School students may wear green! Students who do not choose to participate should wear their regular school uniform.
Leprechaun Trap Family Project- Please help us catch these sneaky leprechauns with a handmade trap! According to Irish fables, leprechauns like to make shoes, love the color green, and hide their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! You can use recyclable materials from home like shoeboxes, paper towel rolls, construction paper, markers, paint, stickers, etc. There are lots of ideas on Pinterest if you need inspiration. The most important thing is to have fun! All traps are due on Tuesday, March 16th so we can set them up before St. Patrick’s Day.
WHAT WE ARE LEARNING IN…
Bible - Jesus and his miracles
Phonics - Identifying and distinguishing the letter S & W. Vowels a, e, i, o, u. Writing complete sentences with key components: capital letter at the beginning, finger spacing between words and punctuation at the end.
Reading - Science integration
Math- Addition 0-10 using different strategies (flash cards with manipulatives, number bonds, number line)
Science- animals and their habitats
Please help remind your child that they are not allowed to bring their collectibles to school. This includes valuable jewelry, money and Pokemon cards. They want to “trade” cards but they do not understand this process and often get very upset. Thank you for your support!
