Week of September 14th through 18th

         Kindergarten - Tri-County Public Schools

It’s hard to believe we are approaching the middle of our Trimester...time flies when we are learning and having fun!  We are coming to the end of our ABC bootcamp and we will start learning how to combine letter sounds to form words that we can read and write!

We have lots of FUN activities coming up that we want you to be aware of:

International Dot Day - Tues., Sept. 15th

This special day is based on the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. It is a day to celebrate creativity, courage and collaboration!  We will celebrate “All things Dots” by drawing dots, wearing dots, eating dots, learning about dots and creating dots that make a mark on the world around us!

**Students and teachers are encouraged to dress up with DOTS! Be creative- cut out paper circles and pin them to your shirt or maybe you already own something with polka dots?

Any students who choose not to participate should wear their regular uniform attire.

Parent Teacher conferences on Thurs., Sept. 17th & Fri., Sept 18th-  Students will be dismissed at 11:15am on both days.  Teachers sent their Sign-up Genius links last week with their available conference times.  Please be sure to sign up for one of the time slots provided.  We are looking forward to sharing lots of information about your child’s spiritual, social, and academic growth!

Yearbook pictures on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd

All students will have their individual school pictures taken for the school yearbook.  Ordering pictures is completely optional.  Please wear your uniform and a SMILE! :)

Apple day on Friday, September 25th-

Kindergarten is celebrating Johnny Appleseed’s birthday.  This annual event is a fun day of “all things apple!”  We will be making apple pies, applesauce, tasting and graphing apples, and participating in many enjoyable learning activities.  We are in need of supplies and parent volunteers for this event.

We are excited to be able to include a limited number of parents. Due to social distancing, apple activities will be outside.  All volunteers will need to be willing to work outside and have their temperature taken before helping with the event.  Masks must be worn at all times.

If you would like to assist using your time, treasure, or talent, we would LOVE for you to help us out!

This week we learned:
